Becoming a Member

Today, our membership is comprised of: Parents, teachers, conservation authorities, ECEs, EarlyON staff, before and after school agencies, daycares and more. As a collaborative, we intend to grow a diverse membership that is reflective of the communities we serve.

Membership Structure

 

There are two categories of membership: 1) Individual Membership and 2) Partner Membership. Members can join as either a Steering Committee member or General Member under each membership tier. Any members can join working groups.

General Membership

​

To become a general member with the Peel-Halton Nature Collaborative, please complete our membership form to receive our online communications and join our private Facebook group. You will be invited to monthly general meetings and will be able to join working groups if you have the interest and capacity to do so (no minimum hours are required).

Partner Membership

​

Organizations may sign up as partner members. Individuals participating on behalf of an organization should know if supplies, resources or other in-kind donations can be committed to the Collaborative. Partner members will have their logo displayed on our website and on communications materials as needed. Partner members are encouraged to promote our events and general membership. Steering Committee Members

Steering committee members are members who take on leadership roles within the Collaborative in order to support the administrative functions and long-term goals of the Collaborative. They will attend monthly steering committee meetings as well as plan for and attend general meetings. Members of the steering committee may be partner or general members. Private Facebook Group Communication

​

Our closed Facebook group serves as a forum for our members to communicate, connect and collaborate directly with other Collaborative members. In this group, members share and discuss their ideas, research, knowledge and expertise surrounding nature connection for children and youth through outdoor play and nature engagement. You can find our general meeting minutes here, as well as any other relevant information for the Nature Collaborative, such as event planning and general discussion.
